Lutheran Mission

"Go into all the world...Baptizing and Teaching...I am with you always..."  These are the words of Jesus in the great commission (Matthew Chapter 28.)

American Lutheran Church of Sun City, with the help of other congregations, has successfully helped to establish a new Lutheran Congregation (COMMUNITY OF GRACE) with the gift of 10 acres of land.  The property is located 4 miles north of ALC/SC.  This was a joint effort with Peace Lutheran Church of Peoria, Servants of Christ in Indianapolis, Indiana, and the West Valley Lutheran Thrift Shop.  We praise and thank God for making it all possible.

The Lake Pleasant Lutheran Mission was also able to help Desert Streams Lutheran Church of Surprise with a gift toward the purchase of their property.

The Lake Pleasant Lutheran Mission Task Force (American Lutheran Church of Sun City, Peace Lutheran Church, and Community of Grace) have a new vision.  It is to find and secure property for another Lutheran Congregation.

How can you join us in this mission?

Pray for the Holy Spirit to go ahead of all that is done for this to be a tremendous mission of Grace and Love inviting thousands to faith and commitment to Jesus Christ.

Pray and spread the word that local parishes in partnership and harmony with the church at large are mission-minded and can find ways to reach the unchurched.

Pray and give thanks for the brave visionary leaders we have in the church who look ahead to the future and have the courage to do things now that will make a difference tomorrow.

Pray that God is presently raising up the right pastor-developer that will be a great evangelist and shepherd and will start this ministry.

Pray that the people who will inhabit this area will have a hunger and thirst for the Gospel of Jesus Christ.

Pray that financial concerns will never hinder this work of the Lord.
